Return Your Voted Ballot Now - Backup Ballot Also Available!
The November 8 election is less than a month away!
Already received your requested ballot? Vote and return it right away! Mail delivery times vary based on your location, so it's especially important for you to consider how long it takes mail to travel stateside as Election Day approaches. View the Military Postal Service Agency's (MPSA) mailing dates chart.
Requested your ballot but haven't received it? Don't worry, there's a backup ballot called the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) with an online assistant that provides you with the candidate lists for federal offices including your Congressional District. It's available using the "Get My Ballot" link at www.fvap.gov/military-voter/registration-ballots. You may also fill out the PDF www.fvap.gov/uploads/FVAP/Forms/fwab.pdf or pick up a hardcopy version from your Voting Assistance Officer or nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
If you receive your State ballot after submitting the FWAB, you should still complete and return it, as well. States will only count one ballot per person.
Still need to register and/or request your ballot? It might not be too late! Some States' registration and ballot request deadlines have not already passed. Check your State's voter registration and ballot request deadlines by selecting your State at www.fvap.gov/military-voter/registration-ballots.
- If you have not registered yet, you MUST do so before your State's deadline to vote in this election. Be sure to check your State's deadline - unfortunately, some State deadlines have already passed.
- If you are already registered but still need to request your ballot, do so as soon as possible!
- You can check your registration status by contacting your election office. Find contact info at www.fvap.gov/search-offices.
Not sure about your status? Contact your election office! If you'd like to contact your election office to check your absentee voter status, you can find contact information at www.fvap.gov/search-offices.
Track Your Ballot. MPSA provides free expedited ballot delivery and ballot tracking for overseas military members. They will place the Label 11- DOD on your ballot envelope, which allows you to track your ballot en route to your election office at www.usps.com.
If mailing from outside the U.S., ensure there is proper postage if using a foreign mail service. As always, you can contact your election office to ensure they received your information by sending them an email or giving them a call! www.fvap.gov/search-offices.
